Potomac River Fishing Report - 15 September 2010

I had a guide trip today with a very talented bass fisherman, Mike Smith. We had a great day on the water and caught many bass up to 5lbs using frogs, chatterbaits, and soft plastics. The bass are in excellent health and are putting up incredible fights. There is a very good morning bite and then you must play the tides. Today we found some of our larger bass later in the afternoon right at the beginning of the falling tide. These last two warm days have the water temperature creeping up again to around 76. It had actually fallen to 74 over the weekend. Attached is a picture of a beautiful Potomac River bass caught by Gregory Scott from Ferrum Virginia last Saturday 11 September 2010. It's time to get out on the Potomac River and enjoy some of the best bass fishing in America.
