Public Service Announcement for 9 June 2007 Family Fishing Day at Franklin Park in Loudoun County Virginia

Come learn the great sport of fishing at our free 9 June 2007 Family Fishing Day & Casting Kids Contest at Franklin Park in Loudoun County Virginia. There will be a morning fishing tournament for children 09:00-12:00, a picnic including hot dogs and hamburgers 12:00-1:00 PM, and from 1:00 PM-3:30 PM a “Casting Kids Competition” for children ages 7-14 as of March 2008. There will be trophies and some great prizes. We will be teaching all interested children and adults about the joys of fishing.

You can bring your own fishing tackle. There will be loaner rods and reels for those who don’t have any. Regulation rods and reels will be used during the “Casting Kids Competition”. In order to compete in the “Casting Kids Competition”; a registration form must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Directions – Exit Route 7 at the Round Hill exit, go towards Purcellville on E. Loudoun Street about ¾ mile and look for the Franklin Park sign on the right. The Franklin Park address is 17501 Franklin Park drive, Purcellville VA 20132-9017.
